Writing for myView: we want your stories!
Share your story with your fellow Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington students!
myView gives you the chance to showcase your writing skills, get rewarded for sharing your view, and provide useful information for other students.
The blog showcases student life at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. It focuses on anything and everything to do with learning and living at our University. That might include study tips, life on campus, life studying abroad, what you love about uni, or what’s happening in your hall of residence. myView was designed for students to be able to tell their stories.
Guidelines for submitting a story:
- We’re open to all kinds of content—written, photo essays, or video content.
- Written posts should be between 200 words minimum and 500 words maximum.
- Include at least three high quality photos relevant to the topic you’re writing about (images must be a minimum of 1MB). Please use photos that you have taken yourself, or that you have permission to use.
- The content must be your own creation. Be honest and authentic in what you share.
- Include a title. Make your blog title as specific as possible so that readers scanning the blog page will understand the point of each post at a glance.
- Include an excerpt (summary paragraph) of approximately 40 words to outline your key points. This summary will appear on the blog’s homepage under your feature image.
- Write in your own voice, but be respectful of others.
